Well, I’m pretty sure that you checked in this post because you were either totally terrified by the heading or you wanted to know more. Either ways, I’m eager to take you on this tour. Grab a cof— mmm… Never mind!

So, the big question “are all Korean movies considered a Sin?”. Asking that question is like saying “are all Africa or America movies a Sin to watch?” well, no! You can’t really call any movie a Sin until you’ve weighed it on a balance. And what I mean by a balance is scaling things up to see if it meets with the culture of the Scripture and every moral ethics. If it doesn’t, you’ve got yourself in a mess. The fact is “we are what we see, hear and say” we’re what we listen to! The nature of a man is not far-fetched, you just have to hear him speak and you can interpret what he’s being doing indoors. Yeah.. That’s right! People are not that hard as you may think. You just have to be attentive to their words and there you’ve your evidence! A man who’s been locked up in grief, pronounces fear. Those who allows pornographic contents and lusty materials, eventually end up winding about sex talks, vulgar words and violent actions. Meanwhile, there are some others who are alcoholic and all they say is pointless, they are stern and sulky; ill-tempered, lonely, depressed. To mention but a few. We are nonetheless, what we see, hear and say!
IS WATCHING TOO MANY KOREAN MOVIES A SIN
Not just Korean movies, but all movies!

Many Korean actors you see out there are subjected to a lot of things on the go; such as pressure, alcohol, sex, anxiety, and you name it. Brother hyeok (now a preacher of the gospel) claimed that the first day he was enrolled into the South Korean movie industry (as a Korean actor) was made to bow before a man-made statue that just stood in front of the assembly everyday. The seniors would force everyone to bow before that statue and pledge their allegiance to him. Well, that didn’t seem fine with him. He would object most times. They would pull him over but he wouldn’t budge. His words “I’m a slave to Jesus. I Love him so well to do this...” and usually, what followed that statement was an offensive knock on his head and several punishment. They would come over during the class and bully him and Lure him to have sex but he wouldn’t budge either. He was the only one among the many who refused to defile himself and stay Holy. Many of them in there smokes, drinks; and many others are sex addicts and depressed or oppressed.
I believe you don’t even know those “behind the scenes” actions. All you do is just watch a sixteen episode Korean movie for sixteen hours that could have been useful and resourceful for so many other activities. Well, you know I’m not saying watching movies are bad at all. Atleast I do watch movies, but it’s bad to go on and on feeding your Spirit man with garbages. Believers must learn to know when to stop and actually stop else they’ll become subjects and addicted to it.
I have watched a bunch of Korean movies without any rueful sex scenes unlike the one people watch today, and they did resonate with my spirit. In serving Jesus, we’re intentional people. We’re not just a Bunch of flaky cereals or some lollipop that gets carried away by anything. Christianity is an intentional Journey. You must be deliberate, else you’d never be able to get out of that addiction. You must be deliberate about what you see, you must be deliberate about what you hear, you must be deliberate and conscious of what you say! You know a lustful man by the words he say. He can’t finish a line without desiring something, he can’t even put on a sentence without some greed in it!
In Galatians 5:1 the Bible say that – It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. What yoke of slavery, Sin! Sin is a yoke of slavery! But Christ assures us that we’ve been set free by grace! If you’ve been set free then why put on with some immoral content on your screen that drives your head nut and makes you feel butterflies in your belly almost giving you the desire to go get a charming boyfriend. Christ has set you free to be free and not to be enslaved again! While I understand that not all Korea movies are bad as one may think, I firmly agree that one can fall a lusting by watching so many of them especially when that becomes a routine! And this goes for all movies!
Meanwhile, anything that takes you away from God is already an attack on your spiritual life! Anything that makes your head go merry-go-round in less than a second can be a BIG BIG distraction! Jesus desires intimacy with us. He wasn’t even considering how bad or rueful you can be when he died on the cross! He just laid it all. It’s time to appreciate his works on the cross for you and me by stepping up our intimacy level with Him (God). How much do you communicate with Him. How much do you worship? How often do you see Him? He’s got feelings too, don’t hurt Him!
See 2 Corinthians 3:18 — But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
