The Prophecy of – Elim (‘Eylim) fulfilled!

So, recently, I was awestruck by something I’d thought is worth sharing. Something, we all may have seen but have kindly neglected. Among other Hebrew words I have come across in the Bible, this one leaves an eternal pointer in my heart. It leaves an unending reverberation in me that can only tell how real the Scriptures are. Well? Let’s dig in!

Exd 15:27 "And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

If you take a look at Numbers 33, you’ll learn of the Isrealites journey through the wilderness. Right from ‘Rameses’ down to the Canaan land. To cut the short-story-short, they came to Elim (which is pronounced as ‘Eylim), there they encamped between the twelve wells of water and threescore (60) and ten palm trees. If you take another look at that scripture you’d realize that the Isrealities camping at Elim was only a prophecy that was to be fulfilled by Jesus! Just as Elim had twelve wells of water, Jesus also had 12 disciples who we identify as the early apostles today. Again, Jesus also had the seventy, just as Elim had seventy palm trees. These palm trees represents the seventy disciples of Jesus. Isn’t that interesting?

Luk 10:1 "After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come."

Now here’s whats more interesting. The 12 disciples of Jesus was referred to as wells of water in Exodus 15:27, and the seventy others were seen as palm trees. This categorizes the disciples of Jesus into two. Note that palm trees give shade (shelter) only. We also learnt from the synoptic gospels that there were High-class informations that only the twelve disciples of Jesus were privileged to hear from the mouth of the Christ, the seventy others couldn’t because they weren’t as close to the master as the twelve were. Hence they only received shady informations and shelter from the master. That was all they ever received. But the twelve did not only receive shelter from Jesus, they got to drink from him and they themselves eventually became wells of water that watered revival across the gentiles and jews. They received high-quality information, interpretations and understanding. The seventy others didn’t. They got what they paid for – shelter.

It is God’s desire that we become like the twelve. It is his desire that we become wells of living water. The scripture said that out of our belly shall flow rivers of living water. Is that river still flowing? God doesn’t want to be just a shelter to you, he wants to be more. He wants to fill you with His righteous Spirit. And He desires to send you into your world to burn for Him as well.

But – you may say, I haven’t had a consistent walk with God for quite sometime now, I don’t even pray anymore, I don’t even feel Him as I used to, everything seems out of course. Well, I seem to understand you, but Jesus is never out of course, you’re but He’s not. He’s and has always been right there. He loves you dearly. O’ I wish you read that! Jesus is madly in love with you, I mean crazily in love with you. The thing is that He just can’t stop loving you. I wish you got that! You don’t have to do anything to help Him love you better, I repeat, you don’t…! Even if you haven’t been a good Christian for the past three years, He’s still madly in Love with you. Oh – yes, that’s how invested He’s to loving you!

Can you appreciate this dear Love He has for you by accepting His life today. His crucifixion and resurrection can never be overemphasized! He died for you! He had you in mind! Don’t you get it? He offered himself because of you.

Say this prayer; Dear Christ Jesus! I love you. I love you. I love you. Thank you for the Cross. I accept you today as my Lord and savior. Be my Lord and friend from today. Thank you Jesus! Amen!

Now if you truly made that prayer! We want to welcome you to the family of believers in a grand way. 🤭 Leave a text message below using the comment box or send us a message using our email “allchristianblog@gmail.com“. We love you!
